Welcome to SmartScore 64 Professional NE
SmartScore 64 Pro NE (New Edition) is more than "music recognition". It’s also a comprehensive music notation scorewriter with powerful and innovative tools. Notation, lyrics, text, chord symbols, pagination and layout are all captured with high level of accuracy. This means you can recognize, edit, transpose, rearrange, reformat and export complete choral arrangements, symphonies, operas, piano/vocal arrangements, individual parts, lead sheets, duets or piano scores.
Scan printed sheet music or import PDF music files from the Internet and other sources. Play back, transpose, edit, isolate parts and print back out in just minutes. You can also export your finished music as PDF, MusicXML, MIDI and MP3 audio files. Share your work with others using our SmartScore Player app. It’s free of charge to anyone who downloads it.
Recognition
SmartScore Pro is not limited to the number of parts it can process (unlike our four other editions). Complex notation, optimized score, lyrics, text, chord names and symbols, guitar fret symbols, tablature (TAB) and fingerings are all recognized.
Input
Scan scores directly with the integrated scanning interface. Import PDF sheet music from the Internet and other sources. Preview and repair scanned pages in SmartScore’s Image Editor prior to recognition.
NOTE: We recommend you create a "working directory" on your desktop or elsewhere to store all your working files (PDF, TIF, ENF, XML, etc.) SmartScore always returns to the same location after opening and saving files.
Playback
Includes powerful playback controls and fully featured mixer (volume, pan, mute, solo, tempo) mapping instrument sounds to the proper voice, staff line and system. Sound fonts and AUVST-Instrument plugins, MIDI editor, drum track, editing playback properties of notation elements are all supported.
Note editing
Correct mistakes (there will be some). Relink parts (e.g. optimized scores), edit notes, lyrics, text and articulations, rearrange, enhance and reformat layout giving your final work a polished, professional look.

Smartscore supports layered polyphony including automatic recognition of up to 4 contrapuntal voices per part (staff line). Extract or combine one or more parts to new documents, edit/

Print preview and printout with individual formatting and individual page layout. Export the edited recognition results as PDF, MusicXML, MP3 or as a standard MIDI file.
