Last updated: 07/30/2024

The Limits tab inside the Transposition dialog allows you to limit transposition by applying it over a range of measures or by focusing it on a single part or contrapuntal voice.

How it works …

1
Open the Transposition dialog. Select the Transposition button located in both the Note Editor and Playback toolbars. The   +   combination on your keyboard also opens the dialog as well as from the ☰ EDIT > Transpose menu selection.
2
What do you want transposed ? Choose to transpose by "Clef", by "Key" or simply by "Pitch" and make the desired settings.
3
Choose the Limits tab to limit the range and/or parts that you want to be applied during transposition.
4
Push OK to transpose.
