Inserting empty measures

Last updated: 07/30/2024

Barlines determine measures in SmartScore. The    key will turn your cursor to a barline. Creating new measures is as easy as inserting a barline and clicking anywhere in a staff line.

How it works …

1
Activate the Barline tool from the Symbol Selector window or simply hit the    key.
2
Click anywhere in a staff line
3
To reposition an existing barline, hold the    key down and drag one of its control handles to the left or right (NUDGE mode).
